🚀Take Action

Give Your Board a Roadmap to Fundraising Success!

Your board is ready to help—they just need to know exactly HOW! Last week's poll confirmed what I see all the time: boards want clear goals and simple steps to feel confident about fundraising.

Think about it—when someone says "help with fundraising," that could mean anything! But when you say "please thank two donors this month" or "invite one friend to our next event," suddenly it feels totally doable.

Your board members aren't looking for complicated strategies—they want a clear path forward:

  • Specific, bite-sized actions they can take
  • Step-by-step guidance so they don't feel lost
  • Real examples of what success looks like
  • Stories that help them picture their own role

Pro tip: Create a simple "Board Fundraising Menu" with 8-10 specific actions board members can choose from—like writing thank-you notes, making introductions, or sharing social media posts. Let each member pick 2-3 that feel authentic to them. When people choose their own adventure, engagement skyrockets!

Here's what I've discovered working with hundreds of boards: they're not resistant to fundraising—they're resistant to confusion! Give them clarity and watch their confidence soar.

When boards have a clear roadmap and feel supported every step of the way, they transform from hesitant helpers into passionate advocates. If your board is ready for this kind of structured approach to fundraising engagement, I'd love to help you create a plan that works for your unique team!
